Abstract:
The Strata SE1 tower which rises 148m into the London skyline is the tallest residential building in Central London. The [Pounds]113.5M project is at the forefront of the regeneration of Elephant and Castle and 25% of the accommodation it offers is affordable housing. The building's streamlined silhouette and unusual facade are amongst the many features that make this building unique. However, it is Strata SE1's eye-catching roof that attracts most attention with three 9m diameter wind turbines topping the structure. The tower is a landmark in its own right and is the first building in the world to have integrated wind turbines, setting a benchmark for innovation and sustainable design.
