Pathways to Concrete Research 2022

The co-hosted by CCAA and SmartCrete CRC Pathways to Concrete Research Forum was held at the Pullman Sydney Airport on 25 March 2022.

This years' forum had four session themes focusing on the recently published Decarbonisation Pathways for the Australian Cement and Concrete SectorThe themes were:

  • Decarbonisation for the Concrete Sector;
  • Water Infrastructure;
  • Buildings; and
  • Transport Infrastructure.

This event was designed to be a platform for collaboration with key value-chain stakeholders and was successfully attended by over 140 representatives of industry, research bodies, government and universities.

The forum was an important step in providing a platform for stakeholders to engage and promote thinking on the research and industry collaboration needed to decarbonise Australia's cement and concrete sectors in alignment with the Decarbonisation Pathways for Australian Cement and Concrete Sectors Report.

Ultimately, the presentations and discussions that took place at the Pathways to Concrete Research Forum will help drive outcomes across the entire value-chain.
