Leaders agree on environmental vision for the extractive industry

The CCAA Council has agreed on a high level vision for environmental sustainability in the nation's extractive industry and has released a Statement setting out the values and goals for the sector.

The Statement also sets out the industry's approach for working with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders in improving environmental management, and builds upon other industry initiatives in improving environmental management capability, such as the CCAA Innovation Awards and member events.

The Statement will be supported by a number of initiatives being advanced by member sub-committees, and will be discussed with government bodies and regulators across Australia.
