CCAA Sustainable Procurement Workshop | Sydney

Driving practical, scalable progress was a clear focus of Cement Concrete & Aggregates Australia’s Sustainable Procurement Workshop in Sydney yesterday, delivered in partnership with Arup.

Bringing together a broad cross section of industry and government, the workshop centred on how procurement can more effectively support the uptake of lower carbon cement and concrete, with a deliberate focus on actionable outcomes rather than revisiting established challenges.

 Discussions highlighted the need for clearer and more consistent signals across jurisdictions, improved access to reliable data, and approaches that support innovation while maintaining performance and managing risk.

Importantly, the workshop focused on identifying priority actions that can be progressed quickly, alongside longer term opportunities requiring further coordination across the sector.
