Next Steps Along the Mental Health Journey - Victorian Health & Safety Seminar

CCAA held its annual Victorian Health & Safety Seminar on Tuesday 30 October 2018,on Next Steps along the Mental Health Journey.

Hanson Australia outlined their journey in improving the physical and mental health of their employees and support for the simple question - RUOK?

Employee Assistance Program providers Converge International provided some practical next steps for managers whilst WorkSafe Victoria outlined some key characteristics of a mentally healthy workplace.

Former AFL footballer Danny Frawley then provided his personal story on his experiences with mental health and the work he is doing to raise awareness about mental health conditions.

The afternoon was rounded off by viewing the newly released comedy movie, Johnny English Strikes Again, reinforcing the message that sometimes laughter can be the best cure.

With over 100 industry attendees the day provided a great opportunity to discuss health and well-being in the workplace through real-life experiences and examples.
