CCAA EH&S Awards 2015 - Winners announced

Nominations for the CCAA EH&S Awards 2015 - Tasmania have now closed.

We received a total of 8 nominations, 5 in the Health and Safety category and 3 in the Environmental Innovation category. The CCAA EH&S Awards project a positive message about our industry to our Regulators and the Community. Thank you to everyone that contributed to this important event.

The Minister for Resources the Hon. Paul Harriss MP conferred the awards for each category at the Construction Materials Industry Dinner on the 15th of May 2015.

Congratulations to RNB Trading Pty Ltd for taking out the award in the Environmental Innovation category for their ambitious work on rehabilitating the worked-out sections of their sand operation at Llandherne back to a pre-settlement landform and vegetation cover.

Congratulations also to Hanson for winning the award in the Health and Safety category for their commitment to continually reassessing risk and applying contemporary tilt sensors to older trailers to eliminate the risk of the trailers tipping over.

Only two nominations are recipients of the awards but everyone that contributed were instrumental in making the awards night a success and more importantly getting the message out to the Minister and the Regulators that we are constantly introducing new ideas to reduce our industry’s environmental impact and make the workplace safer for our people.
