CCAA Industry Insights Breakfast - Future Opportunities for Queensland and Brisbane Join CCAA for its first Industry Insights Breakfast for 2021, exploring Queensland and Brisbane's economic re-emergence - focusing on trends and policy in the housing construction sector, and the future shaping of Brisbane and SEQ, particularly in the context of the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics bid and its legacy for the region.


Our guest speakers are Paul Bidwell (Deputy CEO, Master Builders QLD), and Barton Green (CEO, Committee for Brisbane).

 
 As Deputy CEO of Master Builders QLD, Paul Bidwell is a prominent advocate for the housing and building sector in Queensland. He joined Master Builders in July 2009 with 18 years' private and public sector experience in policy planning and analysis. Paul is a qualified valuer with tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning, and business administration.  Paul works closely with Master Builders' members and other industry stakeholders in representing the needs of the sector to Government and the broader community. Paul will be presenting on the Master Builders' perspective on the QLD housing construction market over the short and medium term, as well as its policy agenda with the State Government.
 
 Barton Green is the CEO for the Committee for Brisbane, an independent, not-for-profit organisation committed to helping shape greater Brisbane as the world’s most liveable region. Barton has executive management experience spanning more than 35 years in various Brisbane's private companies, statutory authorities and not-for-profit organisations, including as Chairman and Deputy Chairman. Barton has worked in and around politics for more than 30 years, including as a Parliamentary reporter and member of the Queensland Parliament Media Gallery, a Senior Ministerial Advisor in the Goss Government, Founder and President of the Government Relations Professionals Association, and a government relations consultant.
